FHIR Fundamentals Vision and Validate Workshop, Manila
As part of the Strengthening Standards Capability Project (SSCP) training activity plan, UPM SILab organized a FHIR Fundamentals Train-the-Trainer (TOT) workshop. The TOT session was led by John Carter, an international FHIR Subject Matter Expert from HL7 New Zealand. The workshop provided an essential platform for FHIR developers and trainers in the Philippines to review and contribute to the FHIR Fundamentals Developers course content. Originally developed for Australian FHIR developers, the localisation of this training material is a crucial step toward promoting the adoption of FHIR training programs in the Philippines.
Participants in the workshop were invited from various organizations involved in national-level FHIR implementation and development programs. Key attendees included representatives from the Department of Health, Philippines, PhilHealth, the Asian Development Bank, and UP Manila. This workshop served as a foundational step in building local capacity for FHIR development and implementation in the country.
SSCP technology partner AWS provided the venue and hosted the first TOT session at the AWS offices in Manila.
